Falklands War

HMS Invincible

I was born there and remember the invasion even though i was only 6.  I was also very near Fitzroy when the Galahad and Sir Tristram was bombed.  The pilot waved at my family as they flew over our house after dropping the bombs.  Our house was destroyed in the conflict but it was a small price to pay.  We are still very grateul to the men and women who liberated us in 1982.  It's a shame that its been forgotten, some of us though will always remember.
